Ometepe is an island formed by two volcanoes rising out of Lake Nicaragua, and its constantly renewed volcanic soil grows tobacco with a flavor signature blenders can pick out blind: sweet earth, wet stone, something like dark bread.
Supply is limited — it is an island — so we use Ometepe like a rare spice: an accent priming that gives a liga a fingerprint competitors cannot reverse-engineer from a spec sheet.
